Skeptical… ironic… but in the good way

Screenplay 1

November 14th, 2009 by admin

Some years ago I wrote a couple of screenplays - as an exercise in self discipline, not an attempt to get rich.

The first of them - MORNING CALM - I am posting here for reading or downloading. There's not much to say about - a standard 3 act spy v spy / mystery / modest action yarn that might amuse you.

 One note:

I cannot imagine anything much more distasteful than someone defending their own creation but I do feel compelled to make a note here. There is a crime depicted in this script and it is crime, in a somewhat different form, that many believe actually occurred as part of 911. Well, this screenplay was written almost 3 years before 911 so my inspiration came not from the headlines, but rather from my own twisted psyche.

 Logline:

"Charged with the murder of a ruthless competitor, financially and emotionally troubled businessman Mitchell Rourke is forced to come to terms with a tragic past as a Green Beret in Korea and must unravel a conspiracy that threatens not only his life but geopolitical stability of the far east."
